It's a late night, I've totally lost my track of sleep, so I decided to get the Hama beads out and make my location names. I'll be taking them out with me when we have Game Days, so they should be in a few photos in the future.
While I'm sat there poking little pieces of plastic on to a board of pins, I came up with a new idea to make Game Days a bit more interesting. We have a Game Day Champion where we all vote for someone we thought did best on the day, so how about something for the person who actually did play best through the day. The Guild Championship is born.
I've made a pixel trophy which is for photographs only, because it's quite big and I'm not that rich. The Game Day Awards will continue, so whoever gets voted the best player, they still get that.
The Guild Champion does get a little something though. A Guild Coin. If someone wins 5 of these over time, I will give them something totally epic. Like I said before, I'm not loaded, so it's going to take time for the 5 coins to be built up, and hopefully it'll be worth the wait.
To make it a bit more special, each coin will be a different colour depending on where the Game Day was held. Worksop is green, Sheffield is white, Nottingham is red, and London is silver. I wonder if anyone will be trying to collect them all?
If you're wondering how the Guild Champion is crowned, well that's easy. I look at all the records at the end of the day, give points to everyone for positions they got in each game, and points for wins, so on and so forth. The person with the highest score is the winner. Easy as that.
I didn't realise I got the title for Game Day 3 and 4 until after I thought this up. I went through my records and scored everything. For Game Day 4, I really thought Caroline had won. Nope, she got the vote though for Game Day Champion, very well deserved too. So I have two coins myself, which are just awards for me because I'm not going to buy myself something epic. Haha.
Game Day just got a bit more competitive. ;)
