It's the 37th Game Day, and this is the first time I'm making a blog about one. I'm going to have to look back at the other 36 and make Game Day blogs about those too if I can remember what happened.
The 37th Game Day was quite special as it was the 25th Game Day in Worksop I've organised. Some have been with friends, some have been with family, and we've had a couple with a bit of both. All been great, although I still can't believe I managed to keep these going this long.
Alison and Jodie came round to have some good times, and of course continue our Guild Quest that we started after the London MCM Comic Con. We have only a couple of games left and that challenge has covered 3 Games Days so far, and we'll finish it when we get the chance now. Long challenge.
To explain Guild Quest. Myself, Caroline, Alison and Jodie all picked 4 games each in secret, we organise the order of what games we'll play when we reveal them, and then we play all of them, building up wins and points. By the end, we should have two champions for both wins and points. It's been fun, we only have Catan and Sushi Go left to play. I only need to stop Caroline winning one game, and I only need to get one more point to secure both titles in this first ever Guild Quest.
For this 37th Game Day, we played a range of games. Monopoly Empire, Carcassonne, Sheriff of Nottingham (which I dominated because I'm a prick), Cluedo, Qwirkle Cubes, Camel Up, and the game I finally beat Caroline at, Ticket To Ride.
I made a Katsu Chicken Curry while everyone else played Pokemon Yahtzee, and to boost my levels, I did the washing up afterwards too. ;) The only problem was the weather, it didn't rain, it wasn't cold, in fact I wish it were both those things. It was bloody boiling.
Looking forward to more Games Days with the Guild. I'm also letting Maverick get some games in and I'm going to give a couple of Days this month a miss so he can play with the family. Good times.
